Interesting times for Tuggeranong with the Tuggeranong Hyperdome changing its name after 30 years to South.Point. The official unveiling occurred on Thursday the 11 May, though we had the heads up at our last Tuggeranong Community Council meeting. Jeremy Wilson, the centre manager said the “Tuggeranong Hyperdome has grown up with the valley over the last 30 years but it was now time for a makeover”.

“We are providing more than just a place to shop, and want to continue to be a friendly, inviting destination. South.Point will be a revitalised heartbeat for the ‘Nappy Valley’, which has now grown up into adulthood.”

This name change is in conjunction with recent significant renovations and upgrades to the centre including a new outdoor dining precinct, something we at Tuggeranong are looking forward to enhance the after hour activity in the area
