We will be meeting in hybrid format with members and guests welcome at the Town Centre Vikings Club Greenway and via ZOOM.
The speaker for the meeting will be Sam Engele, Coordinator General for Climate Action, ACT Government. Sam will address the Big Canberra Battery which will be built in the ACT as part of the government’s priority to become a net zero emissions city. The ‘large scale’ battery will provide 250 MW of power with the aim to put downward pressure on electricity prices in the ACT as more households in the ACT move to renewable energy and electric vehicles and generate new revenue opportunities for the ACT.
