Please come and join us at our next TCC Community Meeting 7.30pm on Tuesday, the 3rd October at Vikings Town Centre Club, Greenway.
At our next Tuggeranong Community Council Meeting on the 3rd October, Minister Emma Davidson, the Minister for Mental Health, Disability, Justice Health, Veterans and Seniors, and Assistant Minister for Families and Community will be speaking to us. October is Mental Health Month (World Mental Health Day is on 10 October) and there will be a range of community events and activities with opportunities for everyone to get involved, take steps to maintain and boost their own mental wellbeing, build networks and support others. Minister Davidson will give us an update on Mental Health issues in the ACT, including information on some of these events. It should be noted that mental health was a concern raised by young people at the recent TCC Youth Engagement Forum.
Unfortunately Senator David Pocock, who was previously listed as speaking at this meeting, is unable to talk at our meeting as he now needs to be in Sydney for an Senate Committee Inquiry Public Hearing and has been told that it will not finish in time for him to attend our meeting.
