The LDK (Love, Decency, Kindness) Health care are remodelling the Old Department of Social Services building at Tuggeranong into a new concept for senior community living.
LDK Healthcare is a new concept in senior community living and is redeveloping the old DSS Tuggeranong complex to build Australia’s most advanced seniors’ residential village. The flagship LDK Healthcare project will house over 380 apartments, providing private, secure living in a vibrant village atmosphere to over 450 Tuggeranong seniors and will employ more than 100 locals, delivering a positive boost to the Tuggeranong town centre.
In addition to the benefits to the Tuggeranong community, the completed village will offer the village residents normality, purpose and a genuine continuum of care, all in close proximity to Tuggeranong’s main amenities. It will also provide a hub for social and cultural activities for Village Members, with invitations to selected social events extended to seniors outside of the village who have registered as LDK Community Members.
The LDK Healthcare Village ‘Members’ will have access to 24 hour emergency care and state of the art technology to support their lifestyle and communication needs. The village will support residents with low, medium and high care needs, including purpose-built high care support units and secure Dementia support rooms.
