At the last meeting of the Tuggeranong Community Council, David Matthews, Executive Director of Transport Canberra (ACTION buses), spoke about a possible option to stop buses travelling along Anketell Street to get to the Interchange. He suggested that the Tuggeranong Interchange could possibly be modified so that buses could come to and from the Interchange via Pittman Street, thus none would go along Anketell Street. This would be a great solution as long as it eventuates.
David stressed that this is still early days and a lot of investigation needs to occur and money allocated for this to happen. But the Tuggeranong Community Council feels is has definite potential and we will follow up with interest the outcomes of this idea as we definably want to ensure buses are removed from Anketell Street.
