It is with deep sadness and regret we inform you of the passing of our much loved and dedicated Tuggeranong Community Council (TCC) President, Eric Traise.
Eric passed away early this morning after a long illness.
The retired Royal Australian Air Force Officer from Newcastle served on the TCC for many years as a general member and Treasurer. He served as TCC President in 2013 and, despite his illness, he stood and was re-elected for 2nd term in September 2014. He also served as Chair of Canberra Airport’s Community Aviation Consultative Group.
The TCC Executive and general members express their deepest sympathies to Carole and members of Eric’s family at this sad time. A private family service will be held on Friday followed by a memorial service at a date to be advised.
Very sad to hear of Erics’ passing . He and my wife Kath were fellow travellers in the journey of cancer . My wife Kath died 3 days after Eric at Clare Holland House. Kath would say ‘haven’t heard from Eric lately hope he is alright’ . They would usually communicate on SMS .They learned of each others suffering at the offices of Professor Morris at St Georges Hospital Kogarrah in Sydney . Professor Morris gave them both extra time in this life . For my wife it was another 21 months . We are very grateful for that . They both fought the good fight . Condolences to the Traise family .
