We are so dependent in modern life on the reliability of electrical supply to our homes. EVO Energy will join us at our 3 May meeting to discuss the infrastructure (poles and wires) that deliver electricity to our homes and how this needs to be protected to ensure safe and reliable supply.
In January this year sections of Tuggeranong lost power for days as storms brought down power wires. We were luckier than northside suburbs that lost power for up to a week.
Learn your responsibility as a landholder to maintain trees and other vegetation to keep the power on and where to get help when things go wrong.
