The next Tuggeranong Community Council community meeting will be held on Tuesday 4 August 2026 at 7.00 pm.
The meeting will feature a presentation and community discussion on the Draft Southern Gateway Planning and Design Framework, with a particular focus on what the proposal may mean for Tuggeranong residents.
The Southern Gateway extends from Parliament House through Woden and along Athllon Drive to Farrer. Although most of the study area lies outside the Tuggeranong Valley, it includes an important transport and service corridor used by many Tuggeranong residents travelling to Woden, Canberra Hospital, the city and other parts of Canberra.
The draft framework proposes long-term changes to housing, transport, employment areas, shopping centres, public spaces and community facilities. An ACT Government representative will introduce the framework, followed by a Tuggeranong-focused discussion of the opportunities, concerns and questions it raises for our community.
Everyone is welcome to attend and take part in the discussion.
