Tuggeranong Community Council member, Beverley Flint, has been officially recognised for dedicated service to the Canberra community. Beverley was among those to receive an award at the recent Volunteering ACT Awards Night. She received the award for recognition of her outstanding voluntary service to the ACT and Capital Region.
The judges noted her volunteer work with the aged suffering from blindness and dementia, her efforts to improve the amenity of East Greenway, her role on the Footsteps to Follow project and her work with the Tuggeranong Community Council. Beverley was presented with her award by former Governor General Sir Michael Jeffrey and Director of the Australian War Memorial Brendan Nelson.
