On behalf of the Tuggeranong Community Council, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Over December, members of the Council have presented Perpetual Community Service Awards at High Schools and Colleges in Tuggeranong. These include Erindale and Lake Tuggeranong Colleges, Trinity Christian School, Calwell and Lanyon High Schools and Namadgee, Caroline Chisholm and Wanniassa Schools. If you haven’t already, I ask you to fill in our Community Award Survey, available on our website at www.tuggcc.com so we can take into account your ideas when planning for a Community Award to recognise a person or group who lives or works in Tuggeranong and has contributed significantly to Tuggeranong and/or the ACT Community.
The next meeting of the TCC will be held on the 7th February at the Tuggeranong Town Centre Club where we will hear an update on the Viking Plans for future development and also hear about the recently published “Place-based sustainable Urban renewal: a case study of the Tuggeranong District”
