The proposed SES Centre will be located on Johnson Drive, Calwell (next to the Calwell Ambulance Station).  This will be the first purpose-built SES facility in the ACT and will be well received by the residents of Tuggeranong Valley and the volunteers who will staff the new Centre.   SES Chief Conrad Barr advised the new facility would house four-wheel drives, specialist storm response equipment and a flood rescue boat.  It is hoped that the new facility will encourage more volunteers into the service.
